Blogger threatened with legal action for allegedly defamatory blog post

Pop psychology author John Gray is going after blogger Gavin Sheridan, over this post.

While men might be from Mars and women might be from Venus, most lawyers are not from the blogosphere and have no idea how quickly it reacts.

UPDATE: BoingBoing points out how counterproductive these lawyers' approach to the blogosphere is.
Lawyers are going to have to learn about this new world, and develop new strategies for representing their clients within it, to avoid embarassments like this.

The sole comment to this post is on how to minimize the blog's exposure to a defamation claim - a topic worthy of an MCLE course.

I would really enjoy leading a seminar on legal issues related to blogs. I know it would be a very lively discussion.
